We are a service area business. We work from a yard in Penzance and travel to customers, so we do not publish a street address or operate a public premises. Written data requests should come to us by email at the address above.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We do not collect special category data, and we do not ask for it. Please do not send us health, financial or identity documents unless we have specifically asked for them.

- Details of the job, including heights, elevations, access and timescales
- Any photographs, drawings or documents you send us about the property or the work
- Correspondence with us, including texts, emails and messages through the website
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed, time on page and the route taken through the site
- The source that referred you to the site, including search engines and advertising
- Quotations, hire agreements, invoices and payment records
- Site records relating to the scaffold, including handover documentation and inspection records where these are produced
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with third party marketing companies.
4. Automated messages, texts and marketing
If you call us and we miss it, or you submit an enquiry through the website, you may receive an automated text message acknowledging your enquiry and giving you a way to reply. This is a preset message sent so that you are not left waiting, not an automated conversation.
After a job is finished we may send you a single request, by text or email, asking you to leave a review. This is sent to customers we have worked for, under the PECR soft opt in, and every message includes a way to opt out. Tell us you would rather not receive them and you will not.
We do not send marketing to people who have only enquired and not gone ahead, unless they have asked us to keep them updated.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: 12 months, then deleted.
- Quotations and hire agreements: 6 years from the end of the hire.
- Invoices, payments and accounting records: 6 years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for company and tax records.
- Scaffold handover and inspection records: 6 years from the date the scaffold is struck.
- Photographs of completed work used on our website or social media: kept while we use them, with your consent where the property is identifiable. You can withdraw that consent at any time and we will remove them.
- Website analytics data: retained under the standard retention period set in our analytics account, and held in a form that does not identify you by name.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal data only where it is needed to do the work or to run the business:
If we are legally required to disclose information, for example to the Health and Safety Executive, a local authority or a court, we will do so.
Some of our suppliers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards required under UK GDPR, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
- Other trades and main contractors on your project, where they need to know about the scaffold, the access or the programme.
- Our accountant and HMRC, for tax and company records.
- Our insurers, if a claim is made or notified.
- Suppliers and service providers who process data on our behalf, including our website host, our customer enquiry and messaging system, our email provider and our analytics provider. These act on our instructions under written terms.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Under PECR, we ask for your consent before setting anything that is not strictly necessary.
You control non-essential cookies through the consent banner when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working.
- Essential cookies keep the site working and let forms submit. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics cookies tell us how many people visit, which pages they read and which pages lead to enquiries. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console for this.
- Advertising and measurement tags may be used where we run advertising, so that we can see which adverts lead to enquiries.
8. How we keep it safe
- Email, messaging and cloud storage are provided by established providers using industry standard encryption.
- Access to enquiry and customer records is limited to Jordan James and the members of the team who need it to do the job.
- Paper records are kept securely and are not left on site.
- We do not store card details. Payments are made by bank transfer or through an invoice.
9. Your rights

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling their helpline. You can complain to the ICO without contacting us first, though we would rather have the chance to put it right.

10. Children
Our work is for property owners, landlords, builders and contractors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe we hold data about a child, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell affected customers directly.
